Post-Machining Handling and Inspection Area

This area sits beside machining equipment and is used to hold and transfer processed components. It should not be described as a packaging line unless packaging is actually shown. Its SEO and buyer value come from explaining the transition after machining: parts need a known inspection status, clean condition and suitable protection before they move to finishing, assembly or final packing.

Release gates after machining

A completed cycle does not automatically release the part. Required dimensions are checked according to the control plan, threads and holes are cleared of chips, and visible surfaces are reviewed for handling damage. If a batch awaits CMM or another offline result, it remains identified and separated until that result is accepted.

Preventing chips from returning to the part

Machining chips can remain in blind holes, channels and rib pockets. Air blowing may be adequate for a simple open bracket but not for a fluid housing or valve component. The customer should define cleanliness by function. Where necessary, the route can include washing, visual inspection, capped ports or a controlled particle requirement.

Inspection status must survive movement

Container labels or travelers identify part number, lot, operation and acceptance status. A good part cannot share an unmarked container with parts awaiting review. Rework and rejected pieces are physically separated. This makes the next process less dependent on verbal handover.

RFQ and packing inputs
