CNC Machining and Part Handling Cell

This CNC cell is arranged with part containers close to the loading position. That short movement can reduce unnecessary handling, but it needs a clear rule for which container holds raw castings, parts awaiting inspection and accepted output. For components with machined sealing faces or visible coating, container condition can influence final quality as much as the cutting operation.

Loading a casting without creating distortion

A die casting fixture locates an imperfect raw shape so precise features can be created in the correct relationship. Supports are placed where the casting is stable, while clamps avoid thin ribs and cosmetic walls. The operator checks that chips are not trapped under locating pads; one chip can change the setup position and affect an entire hole pattern.

Part status at the machine

• Incoming: correct part number, casting lot and visible condition confirmed.
• First-off hold: no batch release until required setup dimensions pass.
• In process: tool-wear and burr-sensitive features checked at the planned frequency.
• Accepted: clean enough for the next operation and protected from part-to-part contact where needed.
• Nonconforming: physically separated with a clear disposition status.

Machined surfaces need different protection

A raw casting face may tolerate contact that would scratch a finished gasket surface or bearing seat. Huabo reviews tray, divider or orientation needs after machining. If parts go to painting, masking or leak testing, the transfer container should also prevent chips from returning to cleaned passages.
