Secondary processing turns a near-net die casting into an assembly-ready component. Building the route from feature relationships

A component should not visit every equipment type. Related precision features may be completed in one CNC setup, while a stable trim feature can use a dedicated press tool. Repetitive noncritical holes may suit a drilling-tapping unit if fixture and positional requirements are met. Huabo compares setup count, datum transfer, tool access and inspection risk before fixing the route.

How equipment quantity affects delivery

Ten T-500 machining centers and twenty drilling-tapping units provide options for repeat work, but output is limited by more than installed quantity. Fixtures, changeovers, operator coverage, first-piece approval and inspection time are included in capacity planning. Parallel cells require their own qualification rather than sharing one approved result by assumption.

RFQ information for secondary operations

Identify machined datums, tolerances, thread specifications, surface roughness, burr limits and cleaning requirements. Include batch quantity and annual forecast. If the component needs coating, mark threads, sealing faces and grounding pads that require masking after machining.
