Shot Blasting Equipment for Die Cast Parts

Huabo lists two shot blasting resources: one SJK-600-8 flat-belt blasting machine and one enlarged 650 tracked shot blasting cleaning machine. They provide different part movement and exposure. Equipment selection depends on component size, geometry, contact sensitivity and the surface condition required before coating or shipment.

What shot blasting changes

Blasting can remove surface residue and create a more uniform matte condition. It can also alter appearance, soften sharp detail or mark parts that collide. It does not repair porosity, deep dents or dimensional defects. Huabo therefore confirms whether the purpose is cleaning, coating preparation or final visual texture.

Choosing between belt and tracked handling

A flat-belt route can help maintain orientation for parts that should not tumble together. A tracked machine can expose compatible robust components efficiently, but contact risk must be evaluated. Large housings, thin fins, sealing surfaces and machined pads may need masking, special orientation or another finish route.

Process controls and approval

Media type/condition, exposure time, load quantity and part orientation influence the result. The first sample is compared with a written or visual standard. After blasting, parts are checked for retained media, damage and coverage before entering coating or final packing.

Information for quotation

Provide part size and weight, alloy, current surface condition, cosmetic zones, protected features and the next process. If the surface will be painted or powder coated, include the coating adhesion and appearance requirements.
