Material inspection is the first quality question in a die casting project: is the alloy suitable for the part the buyer wants to make? For OEM aluminum and zinc casting orders, a wrong alloy can affect strength, casting flow, machining performance, surface finishing and long-term application reliability. Huabo uses material confirmation and inspection planning to reduce that risk before parts move into mass production.
| Risk | Possible Result | Prevention Method |
| Unconfirmed aluminum alloy | Unexpected machining behavior, surface issues or strength mismatch | Confirm material grade such as ADC12 or customer specified alloy before production |
| Wrong zinc alloy direction | Small fittings may lose detail stability or finish performance | Review drawing, application and alloy requirement before tooling |
| Material requirement missing from RFQ | Quotation may be based on a general assumption | List material grade, standard and any special requirement in the drawing or RFQ |
| Material and finish conflict | Coating, painting or polishing route may need adjustment | Discuss surface finish together with material selection |
A spectrometer can be used to verify chemical composition when material confirmation is required. This is especially useful for ADC12 Aluminum Alloy Die Casting components, aluminum housings, zinc alloy connector bases and other parts where material grade is part of the purchase requirement.
Material inspection does not replace drawing review. It supports drawing review by confirming that the alloy selected for the part is consistent with the buyer's requirement and production plan.
| Product Type | Common Material Direction | Related Page |
| Aluminum housing, cover or heat sink body | ADC12, A380 or specified aluminum alloy | Aluminum Die Casting Processing |
| Small connector base, cap or fitting | Zinc alloy die casting | Zinc Die Casting Processing |

Should material inspection be discussed before quotation?
Yes. If material grade or alloy standard is important, it should be written in the RFQ and drawing so the quotation includes suitable production and inspection requirements.
Can Huabo confirm ADC12 aluminum alloy requirements?
Huabo can review ADC12 requirements and arrange suitable material confirmation according to the project needs and inspection agreement.
Is material inspection only needed for aluminum parts?
No. Zinc alloy parts can also require material confirmation, especially when small fittings or functional components have specific alloy expectations.
